Our Savvy Staff

Karrie Allen
I am just a girl who loves to hang on to all the wonderful things this life has to offer. Scrapbooking makes that happen for me. I will be celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary this August. I am adored by a loving husband who helped me raise six fantastic sons. My four oldest boys have selected four perfect daughters who make my life even better. They have given me six wonderful grand babies and allow me to be a part of their lives as friends and as mom #2. I love to create and help others find their creative energy to preserve their fondest and treasured memories.

I believe people cross paths to help each other in life journey. I want to thank all of you, my sweet friend Michelle and my family who have made my journey wonderful. I look forward to strengthening my friendships and making new friends as we together build Scrapp'n Savvy into your store and studio.

Douglas Allen

Hey y'all! I am Douglas Allen, son of the fantastic Karrie Allen. I draw my creative strength from the limitless boundaries my mother pushes me too. I am a busy boy, but feel I manage tasks well. I have a wife, Nikki, and a new three beautiful children, Linken, Grayson, and Hazel. I balance a full-time job, Family Life, and I manage to squeeze in a little side work as well. Along the lines of side work I do graphics, logos, and my current favorite, announcements. I LOVE to do wedding announcements. I am always working on new techniques of photo manipulations and graphics. All of these new and old can be found on my blog, http://www.dougsterdesign.blogspot.com, where I post as frequent as time allows. Hope to see y'all soon. Until then, take care of my mother!

I have had the honor of teaching scrapbooking classes in two different scrapbook stores during the past 12 years, which sadly are no longer in business. I have also been a Creative Memories and Stampin’ Up demonstrator in the past. My children keep me busy with their activities, but I find any moment I can to paper craft. I am excited about teaching at Scrappn’ Savvy and look forward to meeting you all!

 Jane Andrews

My name is Jane Andrews and I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  After moving to Schenectady NY and having our darling daughter there, we moved to Greenville SC for 10 years before landing in Houston, Texas seven years ago. I have been passionate about the paper arts ever since I became a scrapbooker when my daughter was born.  This quickly evolved into altered book design, album making, book binding and box making.  I trained as a bookbinder with the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild home course and have devoured numerous other bookbinding books and publications. In South Carolina, I had my own home-based business where I would make custom journals, albums and boxes. It wasn’t unusual for my clients to send me their fabrics, clothing or papers so that I could create their unique item from the materials they provided to me.
Here at Scrappin’ Savvy, I hope to entice you into my world of book arts by providing classes in basic bookbinding, altered book arts, box making and many other unique projects all book related!
